Zeehan and the Heemskirk Range.

Hop on your bike and head into the hills for a distinctly West Coast experience. Starting from the outskirts of historic Zeehan, head on an epic journey through rolling buttongrass hills to the remote peaks of the Heemskirk Range or get your flow fix from the top of Oonah Hill.

Many of the trails take their names from prominent mines that once operated in the hills and forests around you – a time when Zeehan rivalled Hobart and Launceston in size and over 20 hotels lined its main street.

These trails are in remote and exposed mountainous areas subject to sudden and extreme weather changes. Please ensure you are adequately experienced, prepared and equipped to complete these trails. You ride these trails at your own risk, ensure you have checked the weather forecast and packed enough food and water
